Responsible inventory sourcing

Where our inventory comes from.

Every pallet begins with one thing: legitimate merchandise from established supply channels. We source inventory created by manufacturers, retailers and independent businesses that need to efficiently move excess, overstock and qualifying returned goods.

Our goal is to give resellers access to genuine merchandise while maintaining clear sourcing, condition and authenticity standards before inventory is offered for sale.

Why inventory becomes available

Good products don't always sell through traditional retail.

Retailers and manufacturers constantly manage changing inventory. New collections arrive, packaging changes, warehouses reach capacity and seasonal merchandise needs to make room for the next product cycle.

As a result, perfectly marketable merchandise can become excess inventory even though there may be nothing wrong with the product itself.

Rather than allowing that merchandise to remain in storage, businesses can sell it through secondary-market and liquidation channels. That inventory can then be purchased in bulk and offered to resellers, retailers and other businesses.

The secondary market Moving legitimate inventory to its next buyer.

Liquidation is not limited to damaged or unwanted merchandise. A significant portion of secondary-market inventory exists because businesses simply have more sellable inventory than they currently need.

Our sourcing channels

How merchandise enters our inventory.

Our pallets can originate through several legitimate inventory channels depending on the retailer, manufacturer and individual lot.

01

Overstock

Overstock occurs when a business has more inventory than it expects to sell through its normal sales channels.

This can happen because of forecasting changes, large production runs, slower-than-expected demand or changes in merchandising plans.

New retail inventory
02

Excess Inventory

Businesses occasionally need to reduce inventory quickly to create warehouse space, improve inventory turnover or make room for incoming merchandise.

These goods may never have reached the sales floor and can remain in their original retail packaging.

03

Qualifying Customer Returns

Not every customer return has actually been used. Products can be returned because of incorrect sizing, duplicate purchases, unwanted gifts, ordering mistakes or other reasons unrelated to product quality.

Returned merchandise is only represented by us as new when our inspection finds it consistent with new-condition standards and there is no evidence of use.

Closeouts & Discontinued Inventory

Retailers regularly discontinue products, update packaging or transition into new seasonal assortments.

Previous-generation inventory may still be new and fully sellable even though the original retailer is no longer actively stocking it.

Who we purchase from

Legitimate businesses. Legitimate merchandise.

Our inventory is purchased through established commercial sources, including manufacturers, retailers, distributors and independent businesses with legitimate inventory available for resale.

We look for inventory with a reasonable sourcing history and review the information available to us before accepting merchandise into our sales process.

This sourcing approach allows us to provide buyers with access to recognizable retail merchandise without relying on anonymous or unexplained supply channels.

✓
Manufacturers Excess production, discontinued goods and surplus inventory.
✓
Retail Businesses Overstock, shelf pulls, closeouts and qualifying returned goods.
✓
Distributors Commercial inventory moving through established wholesale channels.
✓
Independent Businesses Legitimately owned excess inventory from smaller businesses and commercial sellers.
Authenticity standards

We take product authenticity seriously.

Our sourcing process is only the first layer of verification. Merchandise is also reviewed internally before it is represented for sale through All American Liquidators.

Our team evaluates the information and identifying characteristics available for merchandise, which can include packaging, manufacturer labels, product identifiers, model numbers, UPC information, branding and other product-specific details.

Our standard We do not knowingly sell counterfeit merchandise.

If merchandise raises authenticity concerns during our review, we do not intentionally represent that merchandise as authentic inventory for sale.

Before inventory goes live

Our internal review process.

Each lot is evaluated before it is prepared for sale. The exact verification steps can vary depending on the merchandise category.

01
Source review

We review where the inventory came from.

We consider the commercial source and available transaction information before merchandise enters our listing process.

02
Product review

Merchandise is visually inspected.

Products may be evaluated for packaging condition, identifying labels, visible signs of use and obvious inconsistencies.

03
Identifier review

Product information is checked.

Where applicable, UPCs, model numbers, manufacturer identifiers, labels and other product details can be reviewed against available product information.

04
Authenticity review

Branded merchandise receives additional scrutiny.

Packaging, branding, construction, labels and available product identifiers may be assessed for consistency with the merchandise being represented.

05
Condition review

We determine how the inventory should be represented.

Merchandise is categorized based on the information and condition available to us. Returned goods are not automatically considered new simply because they were returned.

06
Listing

Approved inventory is prepared for sale.

Lot information, available manifests, photographs and other relevant purchasing information are then prepared for buyers.

Condition standards

What we mean when we list merchandise as new.

Some liquidation inventory originates from a return channel, but the word "return" does not necessarily mean that an item has been used.

A buyer may return an unopened product because they ordered the wrong size, received a duplicate gift, changed their mind or simply no longer needed the item.

When we represent merchandise as new, our intent is that the product meets our new-condition criteria based on the inspection and information available to us.

New-condition review may include:
✓ No apparent evidence of prior consumer use
✓ Product consistent with expected retail condition
✓ Brand and product identifiers reviewed where applicable
✓ Packaging condition considered separately from product condition
✓ Lot details reviewed before the inventory is listed
i
New product condition does not always mean perfect retail packaging.

Liquidation merchandise can experience warehouse handling, transportation and palletization before reaching the buyer. As a result, boxes, tags or exterior retail packaging may show cosmetic wear even when the merchandise itself is represented as new. Buyers should review each individual listing for the condition information applicable to that lot.
